IRAN'S FERDOWSI UNIVERSITY INVITES PRESIDENT BUSH TO SPEAK ON CAMPUS
Iranian students leave Ferdowsi University in Mashad, 574 miles northeast of Tehran on October 4, 2007. Ferdowsi University has invited U.S. President George W. Bush to talk on campus, a week after his Iranian counterpart Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was given a frosty reception at a U.S. institution, the press reported on Monday. President George W. Bush is not taking seriously an invitation to visit a university in Iran, unlike his Iranian counterpart, who drew a torrent of criticism last week with a speech at Columbia University in New York. "But I think that we're not taking it too seriously", White House spokeswoman Dana Perino said. (UPI Photo/Mohammad Kheirkhah) .
