IRANIAN PULITZER IMAGE PHOTOGRAPHER REVEALED
Jahangir Razmi, 57, is shown in his photo studio in Tehran on December 4, 2006. It has now been confirmed that he was the photographer who anonymously won a Pulitzer Prize for an image of the execution of eleven alleged enemies of the Iranian revolution in Sanandaj, Iran on August 27, 1979. The image was distributed worldwide by United Press International Newspictures (UPI). Razmi worked for the newspaper Ettela'at at the time. The image was taken with a Nikon FE Camera and Nikkor 28mm lens using Kodak ASA 400 Tri-X film. (UPI Photo/Mohammad Kheirkhah)
