Chicago Police Officers monitor demonstrators while they protest the 2014 police shooting of Laquan McDonald in Chicago on November 25, 2015. The 17-year old McDonald, who was armed with a small knife fleeing police, was shot 16 times by officer Jason Van Dyke on the night of October 20, 2014. The Chicago Police, in response to a judgeÕs order, released the dash cam video on November 24, the same day that Van Dyke, who had been on desk-duty since the incident, was charged with first-degree murder and fired from the police force.
