Alternate Air Force One
Air Force One, with United States President Barack Obama aboard, taxis for take-off at Joint Base Andrews, in Maryland on July 2, 2015. The designation "Air Force 1" is extended to any airplane transporting the President of the U.S. For the President's trip to LaCrosse, Wisconsin, the smaller C-32, which is a specially configured Boeing 757-200, was used, instead of the familiar VC-25, probably due to the smaller airport. In addition to its occasional use for Presidential travel, the C-32 regularly transports the Vice President, the first lady, members of the Cabinet and members of Congress.
